The Vario-III label printer range includes 203, 300 and 600dpi resolution 4" wide printers with full stand-alone capability and internal rewinders as standard. Labels can be printed in thermal transfer or direct thermal print modes. An optional full colour 7" touch-screen display can be specified providing a simple, clear operator interface.

In stand-alone mode, labels can be created and edited using the built-in display and keypad with no need to connect the printer to a PC. For complex label designs it is also possible to use LabelStar Plus PC-based label design software to generate label designs which may be transferred to the printer by USB flash drive and then used with the printer in stand-alone mode. Real time data including time, date and expiry dates can be automatically printed in stand-alone mode.

An optional RFID module is available to allow RFID 'smart' labels or tags to be encoded and printed.

Other options include cutter, label dispenser and high-capacity external rewinder.

USB, Ethernet LAN, serial and parallel interfaces are included as standard. A Wireless LAN interface is also available as an option.
